Beech Parquet
The most common parquet in Georgia is Beech Parquet.
General Characteristics
Bright, friendly, and warm—this is how Beech parquet can be briefly described. While there are differences in grain patterns and tones depending on the grading, the overall visual of a Beech floor is calm and homogeneous. It blends well with various interior styles. Beech parquet stands out for its hardness and density; overall, it resists point loads well and does not leave dents. It lags slightly in durability because it is not entirely indifferent to fungi and termites, but if processed according to all rules, this problem is also resolved.
Beech Parquet in Practice
Beech parquet is quite unpretentious but not universal. Its strong points are load capacity and density. Heavy furniture and walking in high heels usually do not leave indentations.
Beech parquet positively affects the room climate. It absorbs excess moisture and releases it when needed. However, if the humidity is particularly high, the parquet can separate and develop gaps, which is not aesthetically pleasing.
Beech is characterized by a rapid mechanical reaction to temperature changes, making it unsuitable for underfloor heating. Heat coming from below will quickly cause it to crack and split.
Staining Beech Parquet
Beech parquet is subject to color changes. It can be varnished, oiled without color, or stained with colored oil. Color processing should be done with high-quality oils. It is also important that the craftsman has experience in staining.
After staining, the floor no longer looks like the average Georgian floor.

Let's summarize the pros and cons in the form of a table:
| + | - |
| Local species | Cannot be installed over heating; it will crack |
| Hard and dense | Develops gaps in high humidity |
| Can be stained/colored | Sensitive to termites |
| Available on the market; various formats | Found everywhere |
| Relatively low price |
Beech parquet is a good choice when other parquet types are financially out of reach. Its disadvantages can be neutralized with the right approaches. For example, if we do not want our floor to look like our neighbor's, the color of the parquet can be changed.
Under the right care conditions, Beech parquet will maintain its shape for a long time, attract attention, and serve us faithfully.
